Mount Baker Weekend
It was a disappointing day, waking up to drizzle that turned into down pours, high winds, and low temps in the mid-30s on our first full day at Mount Baker/Heather Meadows. I had been here numerous times, but with bad knees, so I couldn’t hike. My friend hadn’t been here at all and I was sad that she couldn’t even see Mount Baker for the pea soup fog at Artist Point.
But, as nasty as it was outside yesterday, it was the opposite today. Gorgeous weather with beautiful skies above fantastic scenery. I really enjoyed watching my friend discovery new things & places! I also felt like a freakin’ billy goat the way I could hike over rocks, steep steps, and elevation, compared to my last trip to Mount Baker!
