My adventures are as diverse as my friends. I'm an advid long-distance bike rider, cook, author, artist, volunteer, mother, grandmother, and wife.

Tonight’s culinary adventure took us to Turkey! 🇹🇷 Tonight’s culinary adventure took us to Turkey! 🇹🇷

I love trying new recipes from around the world, and I’m lucky to have a husband who enjoys the adventure right along with me. ❤️

Tonight’s dinner was Hünkar Beğendi, a classic Turkish dish featuring tender, flavorful lamb stew served over a smooth and creamy eggplant purée. Oh my goodness—it was so good! 😋

This is definitely one I’ll be making again. There’s something so satisfying about discovering a completely new dish and finding out it’s absolutely delicious!

🌍 What new recipes from around the world have you tried lately? I’d love to hear what’s been on your table!

Today was perfect riding weather! 🚴‍♀️☀️ I headed Today was perfect riding weather! 🚴‍♀️☀️

I headed out intending to do my usual Pie Ride—about 18 miles—but it was just too beautiful outside to cut it short. So I decided to take the long way home and ended up with around 36 miles of riding instead. 😎

Since I absolutely hate riding in the cold, wet weather of fall and winter, I’ve learned to take advantage of every beautiful day I can get!

After enjoying some delicious strawberry-rhubarb pie, I headed toward the Eastrail. Before getting onto the 520 Trail, I made an important fuel stop at Burgermaster. Apparently, pie alone wasn't quite enough to power this ride! 😂🍔

Then came one of those little moments that make riding so much fun. Crossing the 520 Bridge near UW, I looked over and spotted ducks swimming below and at least a dozen turtles sunbathing on a log. 🦆🐢☀️

I hadn't done the Pie Ride in several months, so it was especially nice to be back out there—and it felt a little like running into some old friends.

36 miles, pie, burgers, sunshine, ducks, turtles, and beautiful riding weather. I'd say that's a pretty perfect day on two wheels! ❤️🚴‍♀️
