Last year, the Kettle Valley Rail Trail got the best of me. A crash on the final trestle sidelined me from riding for more than two months.

This year, I went back for redemption.

Fifty miles of rough gravel, potholes, sand, aching muscles, unexpected reunions with cycling friends, and the kindness of complete strangers made for an unforgettable adventure.

Sometimes the hardest rides become the best stories.
