Cross-Country Road Trip Day 10

Cross-Country Road Trip Day 10

I wanted to do another bike ride, so I called my brother, Billy, up and asked if he wanted to join me. He did, so I drove to Palmyra to pick him and his bike up. We did a short 3-mile ride on the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail in light rain.

I didn’t do much else until evening when I met up with my uncles Dick and Jerry and aunt Karyn for dinner at a Thai restaurant called Chalit’s. They had just reopened after the pandemic. Their food is wonderful plus they allow you to bring in your own wine. We had so much fun talking and telling stories that the restaurant finally kicked us out around 9:30pm.

When I exited the restaurant, it was pouring buckets of rain, making it very difficult to see. A semi truck almomst took me out during a lane change and I was so petrified to drive to dad’s house and then right back to the airport to pick up Haylee and MJ. I spent the next three hours in the cellphone lot playing games on my phone. Thankfully, the rain let up when their plane arrived.

By the time I got them back to daddy’s house, fed them and gave everyone settled, it was around 2:30am in the morning.
