Cross-Country Road Trip Day 21
Since the West Winds Restaurant was so good (and cheap), we went there for breakfast. At their gift shop, I bought a sandstone Arch.
We then drove to Bryce Canyon National Park. It was surprising that they weren’t very crowded, so we decided to drive the park instead of hopping on a shuttle. The weather was very pleasant in the high 70s with a cool breeze. It was perfect weather for hiking or biking and I may have to go back with my bike one day.
After some amazing scenery that included a lot of hoodoos, we ate lunch at Ruby’s in Bryce City. I bought several gifts for various family members from their gift shop.
Driving north, we came upon the Red Canyon Visitor Center that is part of the Dixie National Forest. I even got to take a picture with Smokey Bear!
The drive to Beaver, UT and our hotel wasn’t very long. The guy at our Quality Inn hotel wasn’t very pleasant, but the room was comfy and clean and that’s really all I cared about.
