Cross-Country Road Trip Day 13

Cross-Country Road Trip Day 13

Today is the day of my bike ride around the Gettysburg National Battlefield and I can’t wait!

After getting up, I quickly put on my bike kit, loaded my bike on the rack and drove to Gettysburg. I couldn’t find any free parking, so I paid for three hours of street parking.

I rode a total of 26 miles around the battlefields and loved every minute! It was a very hot 85° before noon, which drained me of energy. I stopped at the visitor center and got a sandwich to refuel me, but I couldn’t eat more than a few bites.

Since it was so hot, I loaded up and went back to daddy’s house, took and shower and rested a bit.

After our naps, I took some photos of Haylee & MJ.

For dinner, I drove to Linglestown with Haylee and MJ to have dinner with my mom and Bill. MJ had a good nap and was on good behavior the whole time. He didn’t mind having his photo taken with his great-grandmother.
