Evora
The main reason I wanted to go to Evora was to see the Ossuary, more commonly called the “bone church.” It was kind of weird to see walls made of skulls and bones and to know they belonged to a real person of long ago. Most of the skulls looked very small, like those of a child. It didn’t give me the willies if I didn’t think about it!
It was really nice spending the day with Kristan….she likes to take photos as much as I do and we didn’t feel pressured. We even ate lunch at Burger King, just for a quick taste of home (and not too time consuming)!
