See that big old chunk is missing from my bike hel See that big old chunk is missing from my bike helmet? This is why it's very important to have a properly fitted helmet when you're riding. If I had not had this helmet on I probably would have had a TBI on top of my other injuries.

So much beautiful scenery and fun that I may have to do it again on July 5, 2026!
I stopped recording when I crashed, but 30 minutes I stopped recording when I crashed, but 30 minutes afterwards I picked myself back up and finished riding the last two and a half miles to the finish. From what I heard, the McCulloch Trestle where I crashed is dangerous and I'm not the first one to succumb to it. Penticton needs to do something about it.... It's too hard to see that the middle section is raised and if somebody's standing and blocking the sign to walk bikes across it, accidents are bound to happen.

In spite of the accident, it was a great ride and I really enjoyed it. The scenery was breathtaking!

Black eye and bruised knuckles.. it looks like I'v Black eye and bruised knuckles.. it looks like I've been in a fist fight. LOL

One another note I am spending the night in the hospital because I was really dehydrated plus my white blood cell count is higher than it should be so I'm fighting something. Luckily after a CT scan on my head and a bunch of x-rays including the sonogram on my swelling leg I had no fractures, no concussion, and no blood clots.
